Allegro on the Go
Branded Coffee Tumbler and Packaging

One of the first specialty coffee companies to roast organic coffees in the 1980s, Allegro coffee has been affiliated with Whole Foods Market since 2000. In addition to having its own Allegro Coffee brand, the roastery is also the exclusive producer of Whole Foods’ house brand, 365 coffee, provides specialty coffee to restaurants, coffee bars and hotels through its wholesale division, and makes private label coffee.

The challenge:

In addition to its coffee, Allegro was venturing into product extensions at Whole Foods Market, which were to date unbranded. True to its pioneering history, the company wanted to innovate in the zero waste space and was looking for some direction.

What we did:

Recognizing both a missed business opportunity to create branded product and to innovate around the launch of a reusable coffee cup, Deb approached the manufacturer of a double-wall glass tumbler (a superior no-taste transfer drinking vessel that was just coming to market) to develop and launch Allegro on the Go. Features included custom silicon branding for the tumbler and custom, branded packaging (belly band and box).

Result:

Allegro on the Go successfully rolled out in all 360 stores, garnering top reviews from customers.
