Deb’s Love Letter – Singer Sustainability

I fell in love with Mother Earth quite by accident. But actually, that’s not quite true; it was there just waiting for me to wake up and take notice. A series of personal and professional circumstances came together at just the right moment, reconnecting me deeply to the land and opening my heart to her magnificence.

I continue to be head-over-heels in love with the magnitude of beauty and wonder in all of nature. It’s incredible really, if you truly stop to breathe and take it in — the spectacular landscapes, the biodiversity, the gorgeous animals we share our home with…the intricacy of the way it is orchestrated and interconnected! All of this, created by Mother Nature for the ongoing health of everyone and every living thing. I now understand that we, as a human species, must all feel the need to wake up and do a better job caring for our planet. The challenge is that the level of honoring and respect is not consistent amongst people, and as a culture we have become complacent.

It was that falling in love again with life and land — they are one in the same — that has given direction, meaning and passion to the work I am here to do. I am completely clear that my calling is to inspire other people and organizations to access their profound respect for the planet. From this new place of reverence for Mother Earth, they will then take inspired actions to begin to reduce the damage we have done to her, eliminating single use as an ongoing commitment in as many ways as they can.

The way in which I have chosen to fulfill this deep calling is to focus on a very basic but powerful message…
Simple Acts~Big Impact. I carry this out into the world so that we can all do our small acts of love and responsibility, everyday.

If you are a retailer, take a stand to educate and support your customers to adopt a reusable lifestyle in whatever small ways they can.
