Client:

Stonyfield Farm the organic yogurt manufacturer is a model for socially and environmentally responsible business. In 2003 they took the bold step of eliminating plastic lids on all their small yogurt cups, thus reducing waste from plastic by hundreds of tons annually. This was a game changer in the world of yogurt packaging!

Problem:

Trade Show premiums were an important part of the marketing efforts at Stonyfield. One of the most popular was a reusable bag they were giving away at all trade shows and events. While the bags looked great, the material they were made from – petroleum-based virgin polyester – was not so great.

Solution:

Singer Sustainability partnered with a sustainable manufacturer to develop a bag made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. Stonyfield Farm launched the bags at the biggest natural food show, Expo West in Anaheim. The bags quickly became the most popular premium ever done in the history of Stonyfield Farm.
